Why is it relevant?: To ensure your Cohere account is fully functional and capable of receiving payments from clients, it's crucial to have a linked payment processor. By default, you can use your own or create a direct setup with a stripe account. Alternatively, if you prefer a simpler setup, you can use the Cohere payment processor.
Recommendation: At present, we suggest either creating or using your own direct Stripe account for the smoothest experience.
This guide will walk you through the steps on how to verify your account.
Step 1: Once logged in to the Dashboard, locate the "Verify" button on the banner and click it.
Step 2: You will be redirected to Stripe's Identity Verification page.
Step 3: Your Cohere sign-up email will be automatically filled in the email field.
Step 4: Click 'Continue' and create a strong password to secure your account.
Step 5: Input your mobile number after selecting the appropriate country code from the dropdown menu. Click "Send Text" to receive a verification code via SMS.
Step 6: Enter the verification code received on your mobile device.
Step 7: A backup code will be generated; make sure to save it in case your device is lost.
Step 8: Click "Next" to provide your business details such as location, and select the appropriate business type (Individual, Company, or Nonprofit Organization).
Step 9: Click "Continue" and then diligently fill out all the designated fields on the form and then click "Continue"
Step 10: Provide necessary business details and then click "Continue"
Step 11: Provide necessary business and bank details for receiving payouts. After that, hit "Continue"
Step 12: Share relevant public details for customer interaction and click "Continue"
Step 13: Review all the provided information and edit if necessary by clicking the 'edit' button next to each section.
Step 14: Click "Agree & Submit" to complete the Stripe account verification process.
