Once you have connected one or more domains to Cohere, you can manage them all from one place: the Domains tab in your Account Settings. This article walks through what you can do from the Domains tab, what the different statuses mean, and how to disconnect or delete a domain when needed.
If you have not yet connected a domain, see How to Connect Your Domain to Cohere for email marketing setup, or Connecting Your Domain for Your Cohere Website and Landing Pages for the new website and landing pages setup.
Where to find it
Go to My Account, Account Settings, and open the Domains tab (next to Website).
This is the new central place to manage every domain you have connected. It replaces the Email Marketing domain table that previously lived under Integrations. All your previously connected domains have been moved over and continue to work as before.
Empty state
If you have no domains connected, you will see a guided empty state with three setup type cards (Email Marketing Setup, Website + Landing Pages, Landing Pages Only).
Choosing a card starts the matching setup flow.
Domains Overview table
If you have one or more domains connected, you will see your Domains Overview. Each row represents a domain or subdomain.
Table columns
- Domain Name. Root domains and subdomains appear as separate rows.
- Email Sending Status. Verified, Incomplete, or a dash if not configured for email.
- Sending Addresses. A clickable count of sending addresses (for example, 3 addresses).
- Actions (Email). A gear icon with email-related actions.
- Landing Pages + Website Status. Verified, Verifying, Incomplete, or a dash.
- Landing Pages. A clickable count of landing pages on this domain.
- Actions (Landing Pages + Website). A gear icon with landing pages and website actions.
- Default for. Tags showing whether the domain is the default for Emails, Landing Pages, or Website. A domain can have more than one default.
- Ellipsis menu. Includes the Delete Domain action.
What each status means
- Verified. Cohere has confirmed your DNS is set up correctly.
- Incomplete. Verification did not complete, or you skipped a step. You can return and finish setup any time.
- Dash. The domain is not configured for that capability.
Managing sending addresses
Clicking the Sending Addresses count or selecting Manage Sending Addresses opens a modal where you can:
- Add new sending addresses with your chosen local part and the verified domain suffix.
- Remove any address.
- Mark one address as the default.
Duplicate addresses are blocked, and the local part must be a valid email format.Viewing landing pages on a domain
Clicking the landing pages count opens a modal listing every service landing page currently using that domain, with a link to manage each service directly.
Email actions menu
The Email gear menu shows different actions depending on the current status:
- Not configured. Set up for email.
- Verifying or Incomplete. View DNS records, Disconnect domain.
- Verified. View DNS records (read-only), Manage sending addresses, Set as email default, Disconnect domain.
Landing Pages and Website actions menu
The Landing Pages gear menu also adapts to status:
- Not configured. Set up for landing pages only, or set up for website and landing pages.
- Verifying or Incomplete. View DNS records, Disconnect domain.
- Verified. View DNS records, View Landing Pages (only if pages exist), Set as Landing Page Default, Set as Primary Website Domain (if the domain is eligible), Disconnect domain.
Setting defaults
You can mark one domain as the default for each of the following:
- Email default. The default domain for sending campaigns.
- Landing Page default. The default domain used for service landing pages and lead magnets.
- Primary Website Domain. The domain used for your Cohere services website.
A single domain can be the default for more than one (for example, both Email default and Landing Page default). The Default for column shows which defaults each domain currently holds.
Disconnecting or deleting a domain
You can disconnect a domain from one capability using the gear menu, or delete the domain entirely using the ellipsis menu.
Before disconnecting or deleting, it is important to know:
- Disconnecting from landing pages reverts your landing pages to your default Cohere subdomain (for example, app.cohere.live or jane.cohere.live). Any previously shared links on the custom domain will stop loading.
- Disconnecting from email sending means campaigns using that sending domain will be unable to send until you select another verified sending domain.
- Deleting a domain removes it from email, landing pages, and website at once.
You will be asked to confirm in every case.
Quick FAQ
Where did the Email Marketing domain table from Integrations go?
It has moved to the new Domains tab in Account Settings. All your previously connected email domains are still there, with the same management options plus the new landing pages and website actions.
Can the same domain be the default for both email and landing pages?
Yes. A domain can hold multiple defaults at the same time, and the Default for column will reflect that.
What happens if I disconnect a domain that has landing pages on it?
Your landing pages revert to your default Cohere subdomain (for example, app.cohere.live or jane.cohere.live). Any previously shared links on the custom domain will stop loading. You will see a confirmation message before this is applied.
Can I disconnect a domain from one capability but keep it for another?
Yes. Use the gear menu in the relevant column to disconnect just email or just landing pages. The other capability stays untouched.
What happens if I delete a domain entirely?
The domain is removed from email, landing pages, and website at once. Any previously shared custom domain links will stop loading, and any campaigns using a sending address on that domain will be unable to send until you select another verified sending domain.
My status is stuck on Verifying. What should I do?
DNS changes usually propagate within a few minutes, but can take up to 24 hours depending on your domain provider. If it has been longer than that, double-check that the DNS records were added correctly at your provider, or contact support.
Can I add a sending address to a domain that is still verifying?
No. You can only add sending addresses to a domain that has been fully verified for email.
Summary
In short:
- The Domains tab in Account Settings is your central place to manage every connected domain.
- You can see verification status for email, landing pages, and website, manage sending addresses, set defaults, and disconnect or delete domains.
- This replaces the older Email Marketing domain table that lived under Integrations.
For setting up a new domain, see How to Connect Your Domain to Cohere (email marketing) or Connecting Your Domain for Your Cohere Website and Landing Pages (new website and landing pages setup).
